Instructions Structural Shapes:
Caution:
The dimensions of the structural shape are to be input according to the units window
setting. Example: When the units are in English all dimensions to be input in inches.
When the units are in Metric all dimensions to be input in millimeters. The calculator
will change the dimensions to the proper unit setting when used.
Structural Shapes Menu:
This menu allows for the selection and calculation of structural shapes. The menu also
allows for the storage, retrieval and deletion of structural shapes. Use this menu in conjunction with the X, Y and A through F register
and the selection window. The calculator screen allows the viewing of the current shape. Results of the calculation are
viewed in the calculation readout window. Instruction window and tool tips will guide you through each step.
Calculate Shapes:
This menu brings up a list of structural shapes. This allows the calculation of new
structural shapes. After calculating the shape store it by using Save Current Shape.
Existing Shapes:
This menu brings up a list of existing structural shapes. This allows the selection and calculation of existing shapes.
Use this menu in conjunction with the Selection Window and Calculate Existing menu.
Save Current Shape:
This menu allows for the storage and name assignment of the current structural shape.
Calculate Existing:
This menu allows the calculation of an existing shape. To use this menu an existing shape must be selected using the Existing
Shapes menu.
Remove Existing Shape:
This menu allows the removal of selected shapes. To use this menu you must first select an existing shape using the
Selection window.
