 Site Ranking System     

The reason we rank sites is to save you time listing to the sites that are of little or no value to you.

Example of the need for site ranking: 

We recently rated a site that on the first impression the site was great. The average person submitting to the site would think the same. (Great Site) The problem with the site was the last update was in 1998. Looking at the site we found that the reason for the site was to promote the person's software while claming to be a shareware site. Note: This site received a 0 ranking. With the recent problems with .COM's some good sites that have been around for a long time are going out of business and their names and locations purchased by others. The sites still have a limited amount of software but main theme of the site is product promotion other than software. We visit all the sites in the listing every month to avoid this type of problem.

The Ranking System:

A listing over 6 is an exceptional site. Listings of 4 to 6 are medium sites. Listings 2 to 3 poor sites. A rating of 1 is not worth your time to list the software.

The ratings established using the following. The lowest of 1 the Heights 10

Every site starts with a 0 rating.

Positive rating:

0 to 2 points - Content number of products listed on the site.

0 to 4 points - How up-to-date the site is and the length of time of the last update.

5 points - PAD Enabled.

0 to 2 points - Loading speed.

0 to 4 points - Software search.

0 to 2 points - Software update process.

0 to 2 points - Login or password assigned by developer.

0 to 2 points - The time required to list software.

Rating deductions:

8 points - Site not working when visited.

5 points - Site in a language other than English.

3 points - Revolving listings or time removal listing.

5 points - Pay for listings.

2 points - Request link.

5 points - Demands link.

2 points - Solicits Email for advertising letter.

Note: Some sites rank below 0 but our minimum ranking is 1.
