Instructions and setup for pdc Essentials Me-1

To install follow these steps, they will guide you through the installation process.

Unzip:

This program will unzip and launch the install program. The location of C:\pdcme1 is the preferred location for installing the files. When the location requires changes, write down the location. The location required later in the setup process. To launch click on Unzip. 

Note:  Now is the best time to shutdown all running programs.

Installing:
  1. Check the location to install pdc Essentials. To change the location click on Change directories and select a  new location.
  2. Click the button to install.
Note: The default location is the best place to install the program provided you have the disk space.

 

Access Violation Warning:

The access violation occurs when a running program uses the same control that the program is trying to install. The most common reason for this is the user forgets to close the web browser before installing. This occurs in the CD version when the user forgets to exit My Computer. Click on Ignore to bypass the control installation. In most instances this will not be a problem because the controls are identical. If a problem occurs with the program uninstall pdc Essentials Me1 and reinstall the program this will solve the problem. Make sure that you shutdown all of the running programs including anti virus protection and crash protection.

To reinstall: 

  • Open My Computer 

  • Find the location of pdcme1.

  • Click on the pdcme1 folder.

  • Click on setup.exe

For first time users of the program this section will guide you through each step of the setup process. Click on New Installation for setup help and instructions.

Product Upgrade:

For upgrading from an earlier version of pdc Essentials to the new version click on Program Upgrade.
